The Indian society we live in is yet to open up and discuss about a tabooed topic like, female sexual health in India – a trigger that drove Bleü founder, Komal Baldwa – to draw lessons from her personal experience while getting exposed to the toxic after-effect (vaginal itching and drying) of male condoms.

Undeterred, she flipped her bitter experience into an advantage for others by paving way for Bleü and launching Vegan male latex condoms in India, which are free from Parabens, Glycerin, Artificial flavours and Benzocaine.

She believes that a woman has the right to decide what should be inserted in her vagina, and that is how the idea for Bleu condoms was born. Bleü believes in complete transparency with its users, by stating all the product ingredients on their packs.

Our Story

Bleü was born out of the personal suffering of its owner and founder, Komal Baldwa. Komal suffered the toxic after-effects (vaginal itching and drying and urinary tract infection) of male condoms due to the chemical residue left behind by the chosen contraceptive methods.

From being told that she is hallucinating (as she refused blatantly to use birth control pills knowing the side effects of pill), to forget about it and just have babies and then later about staying off trespassing into “exclusively and essentially male” precincts, Bleü is more than a product – it is an idea born out of the fierce personal conviction that women must have a choice to insist on the use of male condoms (as condoms as contraceptive methods are the most effective at 98% efficacy) without having to suffer from the after-effects of chemicals and of course urinary tract infection! And that there are men who understand and care.

Since its launch in 2019, Bleü has been a pathbreaking product and a first in its category: the one and only brand in India to bring in natural male latex condom online, completely vegan –and the lube-free from toxin chemicals and carcinogens, e.g. parabens, glycerin, artificial flavours and Benzocaine (an anaesthetic chemical used to numb the male organ used in long-lasting condoms).

Meet Komal: born and brought up in Kolkata, married and living in Hyderabad, Komal is passionate about empowering women and has received wide coverage since the launch of Bleü. Taking on and overcoming prejudices, resistance, stereotypes, she marches on to bring taboo issues into the limelight through informed discussion, empowering women with awareness and emboldening them to make the choices that are best for them.
